RClaim stores receipts, invoices, subscriptions and expense records — which can hold financial, medical, address and tax information. We treat them with care, collect only what the app needs to work, and never sell your data. Last updated: June 30, 2026
RClaim is an app that helps you save receipts and expenses, extract their details with AI, and prepare them for reimbursement and tax review. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Everything below is stored so the app can work for you — it stays your data, and you can export or delete it anytime (see Your controls). Account: your email address (used to sign you in) and, if you choose social sign-in, the email from your Apple or Google account. Your content (yours — we store it so you can view, search and reuse it): the original proof you save (photo, PDF, forwarded email, or voice/text note) and the fields our AI extracts from it — merchant, amount, date, line items, category, location, and similar. Technical: basic device and diagnostic data needed to run the service and deliver push notifications. We do not collect bank or card numbers, and we do not connect to your bank.
To extract and organize your receipts; to power search, reimbursement packets, tax review and subscription reminders; to send you sign-in codes and renewal reminders; and to keep the service secure and working. We do not use your receipts to train AI models, and we do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
By default, receipts are sent to our AI extraction provider to read the details. We are building an optional Private extraction mode that runs on a self-hosted model on our own infrastructure and is never sent to any third-party AI vendor; that processing runs in a temporary container that keeps no copy after the job and has no access to our database or storage.
We share data only with the infrastructure providers needed to run RClaim, under their data-protection terms — never for their own marketing:
• AI extraction — Alibaba Cloud Model Studio (Singapore region) for the default cloud route; Anthropic or OpenAI may be used as alternatives. Only the receipt image/text needed for extraction is sent.
• Cloud compute — Modal (runs our backend and extraction jobs).
• Database — Neon (stores your records' metadata).
• File storage — Cloudflare R2 (stores your original files).
• Network — Cloudflare (serves and proxies traffic).
• Email — Resend (delivers sign-in codes and reminders).
• Push & analytics — Expo (push notifications) and, where enabled, PostHog (privacy-respecting product analytics that does not include your receipt contents).
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest at the infrastructure layer (our database and file storage encrypt data at rest). Access is scoped per account. We store no card numbers or bank credentials.
We keep your records for as long as your account is active so the app can show your history. When you delete a record, its stored original is removed too. When you delete your account, we delete your records and original files. Backups and logs may persist for a short period before they age out.
From the app you can, at any time: export all your records, delete any individual record (which removes its original), and delete your account and all associated data. Questions or requests can also be sent to the contact below.
No bank-account connection. No automatic scanning of your email inbox — only messages you forward to your RClaim address are processed. No selling of data. No AI training on your data.
RClaim is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
If we make material changes we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above.
